Michael Blakemore (Copenhagen) directs the work slated to begin previews April 16, 2007, at Broadway's Music Box Theatre with an official opening slated for May 6. The run will be a "strictly limited engagement" scheduled for 18 weeks.

Scott Rudin, Stuart Thompson, Maberry Theatricals, The Shubert Organization, Roger Berlind, Debra Black, Bob Boyett, Susan Dietz and Daryl Roth produce the Broadway run in association with Primary Stages.

Four-time Tony winner Lansbury (Sweeney Todd, Dear World, Gypsy, Mame) returns to Broadway to play opposite fellow Tony winner Seldes (A Delicate Balance) in the new McNally work. The acclaimed actresses will play former doubles tennis legends reunited at a championship match.

Further casting and a design team are yet to be announced.

With the exception of a few one-night performances, Lansbury has not graced the New York stage since her 1983 turn in the revival of Mame. The actress also appeared on Broadway in Anyone Can Whistle, The King and I and A Little Family Business. She earned an Academy Award nomination for her screen debut in "Gaslight" and also played in "The Picture of Dorian Gray" and "The Manchurian Candidate." She is known to television audiences for her lengthy stint in "Murder, She Wrote." Seldes — a stage stalwart — won her Tony for Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance. Last seen Off-Broadway in McNally's Dedication or the Stuff of Dreams and Beckett/Albee, her Broadway credits include Equus, Ivanov, 45 Seconds From Broadway, Father's Day, Deathtrap, Ring Round the Moon and Dinner at Eight — she was Tony-nominated for the last four.

Originally scheduled for a March 2007 run at Primary Stages' home at 59E59 Theaters, the work instead debuts on Broadway.

Another four-time Tony winner, Zoe Caldwell (Master Class) had read a portion of the work opposite Seldes in a MCC Theatre benefit.

Tickets to Deuce at the Music Box, 239 West 45 Street, will be available for pre-sale to American Express Card members starting Jan. 14, 2007. Public sale begins Jan. 27.
