Theatre critic Jacques LeSourd, who suffered a stroke this past weekend, is currently recovering in New York Hospital -- Cornell. LeSourd, who writes for Gannett Newspapers (including USA Today), is out of intensive care and "improving every day," according to two close sources. (An attendant at the hospital told Playbill On-Line [Mar. 9] computers were temporarily down, so patient information was not available at press time).

LeSourd is president of the New York Drama Critics Circle, which was forced to cancel a meeting, Mar. 9, due to his ailment. There is no word on when he'll return to his duties at Gannett and NYDCC.
