Gates, who was runner-up in the first U.K. series of "Pop Idol" and has since become one himself, releasing three albums and topping the U.K. charts with four Number 1 singles, has starred onstage in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in the West End, and appeared in Les Miserables for the 25th anniversary tour and its run at the Barbican Theatre.
Ellison is best known for appearing on TV's "Brookside" and the film adaptation of "The Phantom of the Opera," playing Meg Giry. Her stage credits include playing Roxie Hart in Chicago in the West End and on tour and Boeing Boeing in the West End.
