Tony Award winners Gavin Creel and Lindsay Mendez—as well as Tony nominee Joshua Henry and Capathia Jenkins—will perform solo concerts at The Cabaret in Indianapolis, Indiana throughout February and March.
Creel, a Tony winner for the recent Bette Midler-led revival of Hello, Dolly! and currently on Broadway opposite Sara Bareilles in Waitress, will perform The Broadway Stuff Vol. 1 February 15 and 16 at 8 PM. He’ll share the backstage stories behind the onstage songs from his career, including starring roles in Broadway’s Thoroughly Modern Millie, Hair, and She Loves Me, as well as London’s Mary Poppins and his Olivier Award-winning performance in The Book of Mormon—which he later repeated in New York. Tickets are available here.
Joshua Henry, a three-time Tony nominee for The Scottsboro Boys, Violet, and last season’s revival of Carousel, follows with two performances February 23 at 7 PM and 9:30 PM. The concerts will include intimate performances of Broadway and soul classics. Click here for tickets.
Fellow Carousel star and 2018 Tony winner Mendez will play The Cabaret for two performances March 1–2 at 8 PM. The shows will feature Golden Age classics from Broadway alongside new material from today’s up-and-coming theatre writers. Tickets here.
