News Gemignani, Ross, Magnuson and More Scheduled for Jan. 5 Wagner Benefit at the Beechman Several theatre and cabaret artists will join forces Jan. 5 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre to help raise funds for composer Adam Wagner, who was diagnosed in April with advanced juvenile glaucoma.

Among those scheduled to be part of the 7 PM concert are Tory Ross, Benjamin Magnuson, Alexander Gemignani, Joseph Medeiros, Jillian Louis, Michael Dudell, Emily Drennan and Carla Stickler Magnuson.

The artists will perform the songs of Wagner and Zachary Dietz, among others. Both Wagner and Dietz will also be part of the evening, which will feature Jason Podplesky on guitar and Robin Lai on percussion.

Adam Wagner, who has a B.F.A in Musical Theater from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, presented the original revue Don't Look Down at the Cincinnati Fringe Festival in 2005 and took home the award for Best Alternative Production. He recently co-produced Broadway for Barack: The Voice of Hope, and his songs have been heard at numerous songwriter showcases and cabarets across the country.

"All monies donated will be used to pay for surgical and hospital fees, prescription eye drops and outstanding medical debts. A portion will be given to the Glaucoma Research Foundation so they can find a cure during my lifetime," according to Wagner.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within the West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd Street, west of Ninth Avenue. There is a $15 minimum donation and a $15 food/drink minimum. Call (212) 695-6909 for reservations. Donations may also be made by visiting www.adamjwagner.com.
