News George Dvorsky and More Offer Gift of Music Sept. 6-7 The York Theatre Company presents The Gift of Music, A Father's Musical Legacy — a concert tribute to cantor and Broadway performer Larry Gilbert — Sept. 6-7.

Written by Stephen Cole, directed by Pamela Hunt with music direction by Michael Rice, performances are scheduled for Sept. 6 at 7:30 PM and Sept. 7 at 2:30 PM at The York Theatre Company’s home at Saint Peter’s.

The cast features George Dvorsky, Marcie Henderson and Quinn Lemley.

York Board Member Robert Goldberg and his brother Steven Goldberg, according to press notes, have "inspired this intimate telling of their father's Broadway and liturgical career presented in an evening of songs from Milk and Honey, Closer Than Ever, Paint Your Wagon, Enter Laughing, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, and more."
