The White Barn Theatre in Westport, CT, continues its season with George Gershwin -- A 100 Year Celebration (Aug. 29-30), featuring a cast which embodies a half a century of American Theatre history.

In the production, Tony-winning director and choreographer Donald Saddler (No, No, Nanette) will direct Beatrice Arthur (Mame), Paula Lawrence, Jo Sullivan Loesser (The Most Happy Fella) and others to be announced. George Gershwin's centennial falls on Sept. 26, 1998.

Also at the White Barn, theatre legend June Havoc will reminisce about her childhood in Vaudeville in Baby June Remembers: A Love Story, a work-in progress written by Havoc, which is set to play Sept. 5-6 at Lucille Lortel's White Barn Theatre in Westport, CT.

Havoc began working in show business at the age of two. Her story, as well as that of her sister, Gypsy Rose Lee, and her driven mother, were famously depicted in the musical Gypsy. Havoc grew up to star in the musical Pal Joey among other productions. Baby June is made up of a series of vignettes collected from her childhood memories.

The show was originally scheduled to play Aug. 22-23, but was postponed when Havoc injured her leg. Tovah Feldshuh filled the slot, performing her one-person tribute to Tallulah Bankhead, Tallulah: Southern Comfort. For information, call (203) 227-3768.
