Kathie Lee Gifford will host the Second Annual National High School Musical Theater Awards, celebrating achievement in vocals, dance and acting, June 28 at 7:30 PM at Broadway's Marquis Theatre.

Nine-time Tony Award winner Tommy Tune (The Will Rogers Follies, Nine, My One and Only, Seesaw), Wesley Taylor (The Addams Family, Rock of Ages) and more will be among the presenters for the awards, which include the Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress, merit scholarships and professional opportunities.

The cast of Come Fly Away will perform, as will 44 students who will compete for the honors. The students were selected from nearly 1,000 schools across the country.

The Jimmy Award, named for Broadway producer and theatre owner James Nederlander, will be presented after five days of interviews, private coaching, master classes and rehearsals at New York University Tisch School of the Arts Department of Drama's New Studio on Broadway: Music Theatre and Acting.

The panel who will judge the Jimmy Award winner is set to include Scott Ellis (Roundabout Theater Company); Kent Gash (NYU Tisch School of the Arts, New Studio on Broadway: Music Theatre and Acting); Tony Award nominee Montego Glover (Memphis); Alecia Parker (NAMCO); Nick Scandalios (Nederlander Organization) and Bernie Telsey (MCC Theater and Telsey + Company).

Gifford, currently the co-host of the fourth hour of "The Today Show" with Hoda Kotb, has appeared on Broadway in Putting It Together and co-wrote the musicals Saving Aimee, which was produced at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA; and Off-Broadway's Under the Bridge. The ceremony will be co-presented by the Pittsburgh CLO and by Nederlander Alliances LLC.
