News Gillette, Hecht, Van Patten and More Set for Berkshire Theatre Festival's Morning's at Seven Berkshire Theatre Festival has announced full casting and the creative team for its upcoming production of Paul Osborn's Morning's at Seven.

Set to star are Broadway vets Kevin Carolan, Anita Gillette, David Green, Paul Hecht, Jonathan Hogan, Lucy Martin, Debra Jo Rupp, Joyce Van Patten and Christianne Tisdale.

"Set in 1922, it is an endearing portrait of small-town life," Morning's at Seven press notes state, "[and] pays humorous tribute to an all-American dysfunctional family and the love that binds them together."

Tony Award-winning director for the play's 1980 Broadway revival, Vivian Matalon, will direct the work for the Berkshire Theatre Festival.

The creative team comprises scenic designer R. Michael Miller, costume designer David Murin, lighting designer Ann Wrightson and sound designer Craig Kaufman.

Previews will begin July 31 on the Berkshire Theatre Festival's main stage with an opening set for Aug 3. Morning's at Seven runs through Aug. 11. For tickets contact the BTF box office at (413) 298-5576 or visit


The Berkshire Theatre Festival currently presents One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, starring Randy Harrison, Linda Hamilton and Jonathan Epstein, through July 28.

Following Morning's at Seven, Tony nominee Xanthe Elbrick and Jayne Atkinson star in George Bernard Shaw's Mrs. Warren's Profession Aug. 14–Sept 1.
