It's her first New York City nightspot appearance since January when she played Joe's Pub, a testing ground for her concert tour. In April 2009 she performed at Feinstein's at Loews Regency, a gig that celebrated the release of her solo album, "Wish."

Michael Rafter will once again be pianist and musical director, as he was at Feinstein's and on the road.

"The Carlyle show will be very similar to the show that Rafter and I have been performing around the country," Foster told Playbill.com. "Kevin Kuhn will be joining us on guitar. [Songs by] The Beatles, Jerry Herman, Jule Styne are some of the new additions... plus a lot of material from shows I've done on Broadway and selections from my album."

Sutton Foster at The Carlyle marks Foster's Café Carlyle debut. The star of Broadway's Thoroughly Modern Millie (Tony, Best Actress in a Musical), Shrek, Little Women, The Drowsy Chaperone and Young Frankenstein — as well as the spring Encores! production of Anyone Can Whistle — will appear in the Off-Broadway Second Stage production of Paul Weitz's new play, Trust, starting July 23.
