News "Girls" Star Wins Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival Adam Driver, who stars on the hit HBO TV show "Girls," won Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival for his performance in the movie "Hungry Hearts," Deadline.com reports.

The English-language Italian film follows a New York couple who face challenges with their child's upbringing.

Driver's co-star, Alba Rohrwacher, won Best Actress.

Driver has appeared on Broadway in Man and Boy and Mrs. Warren's Profession. His movie credits include "This Is Where I Leave You," "What If," "Inside Llewyn Davis" and "Lincoln."
