PlayBlog "Glee" Creators Call Madonna Episode "Spectacular" and Dish About Original Music "Glee" co-creators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan revealed in an April 6 phone press conference that upcoming episodes of the FOX series will likely include original musical material.

It was previously reported that "Glee" writers had been working on an episode entitled "Original Song," which would have incorporated songs by hit composer Diane Warren. During the recent press call discussing the upcoming spring episodes of "Glee" (referred to as the "back nine"), Falchuk discussed the possibility of fresh material.

"We plan on it. I think maybe in season two there's a thought about doing some of that…," he said. "The key with us is what is the story right now? What do we want to say right now? And what's going on with these characters right now? There was thought about doing that in the back nine, but then it sort of didn't fit in."

The creators also spoke of Sue Sylvester making her singing debut on the show during "The Power of Madonna" episode. Falchuk called it "probably our most spectacular episode to date. It's truly a spectacular that you watch and you can't believe you're watching a television show." Referring to actress Jane Lynch's willingness to sing, he said, "When she saw it and saw what she'd be doing, I think she was so excited. And when you see her do this vogue, it is epic. It's incredible."

"Glee" returns April 13.
