The second month of the New Year will feature Judy Gold (Mommy Queerist, 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother, "The Rosie O'Donnell Show") on Feb. 4, John Oliver ("The Daily Show with John Stewart," "The Love Guru") on Feb. 11, Michael Ian Black ("I Love the 80's," "Spy TV," "Ed") on Feb. 18 and Matthew Broderick ("Ferris Bueller’s Day Off," The Producers) on Feb. 25.
Sleepwalk With Me, the new comedy penned by and starring Mike Birbiglia, plays the Bleecker Street Theater.
About the talkback series, Birbiglia said in a statement, "It's a fun add-on to the show because thematically, Sleepwalk With Me is about telling people the things we're not supposed to talk about. It opens the whole thing up so it's not just about my stories but about everyone's stories. The only danger, of course, is that people will leave and say, 'My favorite part was when he talked to other people at the end!"
In Sleepwalk With Me, press notes state, Birbiglia "takes the audience on a hysterically funny and intensely personal journey through stories of his life and bouts with sleepwalking. As he finally confronts his fears of love, honesty and growing up, we see that some people's problems will work themselves out with a nice long walk — but not Mike's."
The production features set design by Beowulf Borwitt, lighting design by Jason Lyons and sound design by Jody Elff. Seth Barrish directs. Producers are Eli Gonda, Ryan Scott Warren, Mark Turtletaub, Peter Saraf and Nathan Lane.
The Bleecker Street Theatre is located at 45 Bleecker Street. Tickets are available by calling (212) 239-6200 or by visiting www.telecharge.com.
