Performances of the beloved Ernest Thompson play, about retirees facing new challenges at their summer lakehouse in Maine, start March 22 toward an April 7 opening.
Leonard Foglia (Master Class) directs two-time Tony Award winner and Academy Award nominee James Earl Jones (Fences, The Great White Hope) and Tony Award winner Leslie Uggams (Hallelujah, Baby!, King Hedley II) as Norman and Ethel Thayer.
The company includes Linda Powell, Peter Francis James, Craig Brockhorn and Alexander Mitchell. Producers are Jeffrey Finn, Arlene Scanlan and Stuart Thompson.
