Milwaukee Repertory Theater is importing three Italian commedia dell'arte experts for its production of Carlo Goldoni's 18th-century comedy Servant of Two Masters, which runs Feb. 25-March 28.
Director-adaptor Paolo Emilio Landi, movement coach and commedia dell'arte trainer Fabio Mangolini, and costume designer Santi Migneco are joining forces with Milwaukee Rep1s resident company for a production of this Italian classic comedy.
Translated and adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher (Three Viewings) and Landi, this comedy of mistaken identities features two pairs of frustrated lovers and a hungry servant working for two masters to satisfy his appetite.
The show features Joe Lutton, who played the title role in the London production of The Buddy Holly Story, Tamara Scott, Carolynne Warren and resident company actors Jim Baker, Lee E. Ernst, Torrey Hanson, Peter Silbert, Deborah Staples, and Brian Vaughn.
