News Got a Band? Off-Broadway's My First Time Wants to Hear From You Producer Ken Davenport (Altar Boyz, Awesome 80's Prom) is seeking unsigned bands to contribute music to his latest Off-Broadway production, My First Time.

My First Time, a new play in the style of The Vagina Monologues, features stories and anecdotes about people's first sexual experiences.

According to press notes: "In 1998, a decade before blogging began, a website was created that allowed people to anonymously share their own true stories about their First Times. The website became an instant phenomenon as over 40,000 stories poured in from around the globe that were silly, sweet, absurd, funny, heterosexual, homosexual, awkward, shy, sexy and everything in between. And now, these true stories and all of the unique characters in them are brought to life by four amazing actors in the acclaimed 90 minute play, My First Time."

Artists are encouraged to submit songs that have been specifically written for the piece, as well as previously existing material. Discussions are currently underway to record a compilation album of songs from the production to be released by Sh-K-Boom Records.

In a statement Davenport said, "I think that unsigned bands are the hardest working bunch of dreamers in the world, and I'm thrilled to be in a position to offer them this opportunity. They deserve it. And here's hoping that inclusion in this brand new theatrical production gets them that guest spot on 'Saturday Night Live.'"

My First Time begins its open-ended run July 12 at New World Stages/Stage 5 (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). For tickets call Telecharge.com at (212) 239-6200. For more information visit www.MyFirstTimeThePlay.com.
