The Second Edition of "Grey House's Performing Arts Directory 2002," released this fall, offers wide coverage of the Performing Arts, from dance and festivals to instrumental and vocal music to a large section on the theater.
In the theater section (as well as the other parts), there is a directory of each state, then city, alphabetically, which includes, addresses, telephone and fax numbers, and other information, such as seating capacities and types of stages across the country.
The new edition also features thousands of magazines and journals that give information on the arts (e.g., materials to help an actor prepare for an audition) on each of the performing Arts. Listed with most of the periodicals are their addresses, phone and fax numbers, e-mail and web site addresses, as well as some of the names of publishers and editors.
Booklist has recommended the 1,424-page tome specifically "for public, academic, and certain special library collections." To find out more information on "Grey House's Performing Arts Directory 2002," visit Grey House Publishing at www.greyhouse.com.
