Presented in association with London's Gate Theatre and directed by Christopher Haydon, Grounded continues through June 29.

The production features Lucy Ellinson, who starred in the production in the Edinburgh Fringe and at the Gate.

Here's how the production is billed: "When a hot-shot fighter pilot's unexpected pregnancy grounds her, she ends up flying drones in Afghanistan from a trailer outside Las Vegas. This gripping solo show explores the screened in, greyed-out, hyped-up world of remote warfare in an acclaimed production from London's Gate Theatre."

Grounded replaced the previously scheduled production of Beats, by Kieran Hurley.

"I'm sorry to have to replace Beats in our line-up," Studio Theatre artistic director David Muse said in a previous statement. "Kieran's piece is fantastic, but his writing career has taken off and he's stopped performing for the season; we're still in conversations with him about the 2014-2015 season. But I'm pleased to announce that this unexpected opening allows us to bring over an equally thrilling production from the UK. I saw this production of Grounded in Edinburgh this past summer and was immediately struck by Lucy's mesmerizing performance, the theatricality of Christopher's production, and the timeliness of George's investigation of drone warfare. And there's something perfect about ending our New British Invasion Festival with a British production of an American play." Ellinson's stage credits include A Thousand Shards of Glass, Money: the Game ShowThe Trojan Women and Oh the Humanity! (and Other Good Intentions)

The creative team includes Oliver Townsend (set design), Mark Howland (lighting design), Tom Gibbons (sound design) and Benjamin Walden (projection design).

Brant's writing include Elephant's Graveyard, The Mourners' Bench, Salvage and Three Voyages of the Lobotomobile.
