News Guggenheim "Works & Process" Series to Feature Taylor-Corbett, Byrd and The Shaggs Tony Award-nominated choreographers Lynne Taylor-Corbett and Donald Byrd will be part of the 2011 "Works & Process at the Guggenheim" series.

Each 80-minute event, performed in the Peter B. Lewis Theater, includes a post-performance discussion with the respective artists.

"Works & Process" commissioned Byrd (The Color Purple) and Pam Tanowitz to create new dance pieces set to the music of John Zorn. Dancer Ashley Tuttle (Come Fly Away, Movin' Out) will be featured in the Feb. 27 and 28, 2011, performances.

Taylor-Corbett (Swing!) will set a new dance piece to David Del Tredici's "Grosse Tarantella," featuring the Young People's Chorus of New York City under the direction of Francisco J. Núñez, March 27 and 28, 2011.

The New York Theatre Workshop and Playwrights Horizons will offer an early preview of their co-production of The Shaggs: Philosophy of the World, April 17 and 18, 2011. John Langs directs the musical based on the true story of a man who aims to make stars out of his three musically ungifted daughters. Joy Gregory and Gunnar Madsen penned the musical.

Also offered will be Watermill Quintet, a series of theatre-dance performances curated by Robert Wilson, March 13 and 14, 2011. Artists represented include composer Michael Galasso, as well as Marianna Kavallieratos, Ryan Mitchell Andrew Ondrejcak, Jason Akira Somma and Carlos Soto. Visit WorksandProcess.
