News Guy Stroman Stages Forever Plaid at Casa Mañana With Marcus Stevens Guy Stroman, an original cast member of Forever Plaid, stages a gala presentation of the 1990 Off-Broadway musical that features hits from the 1950s, beginning May 31 at Casa Mañana.

Presented through June 2, Forever Plaid's May 31 opening night serves as a benefit for Dallas-area theatre children's education and outreach programs. Steven Freeman is musical director.

Forever Plaid stars Chris Crouch as Frankie, J.D. Daw as Jinx, Joe Domencic as Smudge and Marcus Stevens as Sparky.

Stuart Ross created the musical that premiered at the Triad Theater Off-Broadway in 1990, where it ran through 1994.

Here's how it's billed: "Four heavenly voices unite for a concert they were never able to give in this off-Broadway musical revue that's been pleasing audiences around the world for over 20 years. This deliciously goofy revue centers around four young male singers on the way to their first big concert, when an accident occurs and their plans are halted. Singing in the closest of harmony, their charming, outlandish choreography with over-zealous precision will have the audience rolling in the aisles when they're not humming along to some of the great nostalgic pop hits of the 1950s."
