News Guys and Dolls Begins Stages St. Louis Run Sept. 4 Stages St. Louis rolls the dice Sept. 4 with the Broadway classic Guys and Dolls, which plays the Kirkwood Civic Center.

Michael Hamilton directs the Frank Loesser musical that features a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows. Guys and Dolls has choreography by Dana Lewis and musical direction by Lisa Campbell Albert. Performances run through Oct. 4.

The guys and their dolls are played by Edward Watts (Seven Brides for Seven Brothers) as Sky Masterson, David Foley, Jr. (The Wild Party) as Nathan Detroit, Kate Fisher (Little Women) as Sarah Brown and Julie Cardia (A Wonderful Life) as Miss Adelaide.

Principal casting also includes Edward Juvier (Les Miserables) as Nicely-Nicely Johnson, John Flack (Camelot) as Arvide Abernathy, Jason Cannon (St. Joan) as Lt. Brannigan, Paul Pagano as Harry The Horse, Steve Isom as Benny Southstreet, Herschel Sparber as Big Jule and Zoe Vonder Haar as General Matilda B. Cartwright.

The ensemble comprises Ben Nordstrom, Ellen Isom, Andrew Lebon, Nathan Garland, Michael Baxter, Michael Ramey, Mathias Anderson, Lois Enders, Andrew Kruep, Stephanie Caplin, Becca Kloha, Sarah Nischwitz and Tara Sweeney.

The creative team includes scenic designer Mark Halpin, costume designer Lou Bird, lighting designer Matthew McCarthy and orchestral designer Stuart M. Elmore.
