Jana Robbins

Entitled One Hell of a Ride! — The Songs of Cy Coleman, Robbins’ one-woman show was originally scheduled for Philadelphia's Walnut Street Theatre last February, but the 2003 blizzard performed instead. She eventually performed her Coleman tribute in May to rave reviews. Robbins' acclaimed evening features musical direction and piano accompaniment by Doyle Newmeyer and Coleman tunes from such shows as Sweet Charity, Seesaw, Little Me and City of Angels. Show time is 9 PM. The actress will bring her Coleman show to the Crest Theatre in Delray Beach, Florida, on Feb. 16. Jana Robbins stoodby for both Valerie Harper and Michele Lee in Charles Busch’s The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife; she also co-starred in the play's national tour. Her other theatrical credits include roles in Good News, Romance/Romance, Crimes of the Heart, Gypsy, Footloose, Man of La Mancha, Zorba, Bye Bye Birdie and Cat On a Hot Tin Roof. Robbins was also recently seen on an episode of NBC-TV's "Law & Order."

Don't Tell Mama is located in Manhattan at 343 West 46th Street. There is a $20 cover and a two-drink minimum for both performances. Call (212) 757 0788 for reservations.
