News Hairspray's Scott Wittman Will Direct Christine Ebersole's Carlyle Engagement Tony-winning Hairspray creator Scott Wittman, who will be represented on Broadway later this season with the new musical Catch Me If You Can, will direct Tony winner Christine Ebersole's upcoming cabaret engagement at the Cafe Carlyle.

Ebersole will play the posh nightspot Jan. 11-29, 2011. She will be backed by a quartet led by musical director John Oddo.

The singing actress will offer an all-new program, which is described as "an eclectic musical evening on the subjects of Hollywood, family…and aging."

Ebersole received the 2010 Nightlife Award for Outstanding Cabaret Vocalist in a Major Engagement for her 2009 Café Carlyle engagement.

Show times will be Tuesday-Saturday at 8:45 PM with an additional show on Saturday at 10:45 PM.

The Café Carlyle is located in The Carlyle Hotel – 35 East 76th Street at Madison Avenue. There is a $75 music charge for the Tuesday-Friday performances ($40, bar) and an $85 music charge ($50, bar) for the Friday and Saturday performances. Dinner is served from 6:30 PM.
