The musical juggernaut Hamilton continued its years-long award streak April 8, taking home a total of seven Olivier Awards including Best New Musical.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony- and Pulitzer-winning show opened the 42nd annual ceremony at London's Royal Albert Hall, hosted by Catherine Tate.

The composer took home the award for Outstanding Achievement in Music; the musical's additional wins included actors Giles Terera and Michael Jibson, who play Aaron Burr and King George, respectively, in the West End production.

The National Theatre presentation of Angels in America, currently playing a limited Broadway engagement, was the recipient of the Best Revival award. Denise Gough, who now reprises her performance as Harper Pitt in New York, won her second Olivier for her performance.

Meanwhile, the Broadway-bound The Ferryman won Best New Play, with director Sam Mendes and star Laura Donnelly also taking home awards. Jez Butterworth's play will begin performances at Broadway's Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre in October.

Among the additional performers to win were Girl From the North Country's Shirley Henderson and Sheila Atim and Bryan Cranston for Network.
