The world premiere of Hamish Linklater’s play, Whirligig, opened Off-Broadway at The Pershing Square Signature Center May 21. The production, directed by The New Group’s Artistic Director Scott Elliott, features a cast made up of Noah Bean, Norbert Leo Butz, Jon DeVries, Alex Hurt, Zosia Mamet, Jonny Orsini, Grace Van Patten, and Dolly Wells.

In Linklater’s The Whirligig, a couple care for their estranged, ailing daughter, played by Van Patten, in Berkshire County. “Broken-hearted and giddy with love and confusion, surprising visitors from Julie's complicated past practically trip over each other to reach the young woman they thought they'd lost years before but still feel so deeply connected to,” read production notes.
