Classic Arts News Handel and Haydn Society's Christmas Release Debuts on Billboard Chart All Is Bright, a CD of carols and other holiday music from Boston's Handel and Haydn Society, debuted on the Billboard classical chart last week at number eight.
The album includes music from composers ranging from the 17th-century Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck to the up-and-coming Jennifer Higdon. Grant Llewellyn conducts; soloists include baritone Christopheren Nomura.

Ren_e Fleming's Sacred Songs moved back into the number-one spot for the first time since mid-October. Andr_ Rieu's The Flying Dutchman dropped down to number two; Cecilia Bartoli's Opera Proibita remained at number three.

The biggest movers included Chanticleer's Sound in Spirit, which jumped from number 23 to number 14 in its ninth week on the chart.

Il Divo continued its reign on the classical-crossover chart, with The Christmas Collection at number one and Il Divo at number two. The only new entry on the chart was String Quartet Tribute to Fall Out Boy, a compilation of songs by the punk band, at number 15.
