News Harris and Guevara Are Daughter and Mother, Traveling Hudes' 26 Miles, in NJ Zabryna Guevara, Laura C. Harris, Michael Frederic and Triney Sandoval appear in the East Coast premiere of Pulitzer Prize finalist Quiara Alegria Hudes' 26 Miles, a mother and daughter story, Sept. 15-Oct. 4.

KJ Sanchez directs the Two River Theatre Company staging in Red Bank, NJ (it's a co-production with Round House Theatre in Bethesda, MD.) Opening is Sept. 19.

26 Miles is "the story of Olivia (played by Harris), a brilliant teenage girl, and her estranged mother Beatriz (Guevara)," according to TRTC notes. "Mother and daughter reunite on an unexpected road trip, where, together, they discover love, a common understanding, and find a part of their identity that has been missing all along."

Tony Award nominee Hudes is the librettist of Broadway's In the Heights. Her play Elliot, a Soldier's Fugue was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. She is writing the screenplay to "In the Heights."

The production team includes scenic and projection designer Daniel Conway, lighting designer Thom Weaver, sound designer Zachary Williamson and costume designer Marion Williams.
