Connick, Jr.'s concert is set to air during the winter-spring programming lineup on "Great Performances." The Broadway outing, which featured such songs as "The Way You Look Tonight," "Some Enchanted Evening," "Close to You," "Who Can I Turn To?" and "Smile," was recorded during the entertainer's Broadway run at the Neil Simon Theatre in late July.
On Jan. 1, 2011, "Great Performances" will offer "From Vienna: The New Year's Celebration" featuring Julie Andrews. Audra McDonald will take part in the "Carnegie Hall at 120" concert, featuring Yo-Yo Ma, Gil Shaham and Emmanuel Ax.
The "Great Performances" lineup also promises "Placido Domingo: My Favorite Roles"; "Miami City Ballet Dances Balanchine and Tharp"; "Billy Joel: Last Play at Shea"; Eric Clapton's "Crossroads Guitar Festival"; and "The Hitman Returns: David Foster and Friends," featuring Michael Bolton, Chaka Khan, Donna Summer, Kenny Loggins and Seal.
"Great Performances at the Met" will also return for its fifth season, which includes Lucia di Lammermoor, Don Carlo, Nixon in China and Capriccio.
