News Helen Hayes Theatre Company Announces Fall Season of Plays
Three new plays will comprise the fall season at the Helen Hayes Theatre Company in Nyack, NY.

The tenth season at the largest professional theatre company in the lower Hudson Valley will kick off with A Mother, A Daughter, and a Gun. This world premiere comedy by Barra Grant starring Olympia Dukakis will play the Hayes Sept. 23-Oct. 9, prior to its New York engagement at Dodger Stages. Directed by Jonathan Lynn, the comedy concerns "mothers, daughters and the emotional outbursts only they know how to trigger." Ronald Gabriel Paolillo's The Lost Boy will play the Hayes Oct. 28-Nov. 6. Directed by Kimberly Vaughn, the play, according to production notes, "interweaves the life story of James M. Barrie, creator of Peter Pan, with the lives of the beloved characters he created."

The fall season at the Nyack theatre will conclude with The Boat—The Voyage of Manley Freeman. George Lefferts' new play will run Nov. 25 Dec. 4 and concerns "Manley Freeman, a frustrated delicatessen clerk, [who] attempts to change his boring life by rebuilding a scabrous old sailboat in the backyard of a Brooklyn tenement. Mocked by his wife and brother-in-law, but supported by a sexy divorcee, Manley must make the dramatic choice: remain in his dreary existence or set sail on a new life."

The Helen Hayes Theatre Company is located in Nyack, NY at 123 Main Street. For tickets, call (845) 358-6333. Visit www.hhtco.org for more information.
