Sam Harris, the vocalist-actor who shot from "Star Search" fame to Broadway, recordings, concerts and cabaret gigs, performs An Intimate Evening With Sam Harris, Aug. 14-25 at Arci's Place in Manhattan. Steve Marzullo musical directs the cabaret show of standards, Broadway show tunes and pop. The Oklahoma native gained national fame as a competitor on "Star Search" at age 22. Million-selling records followed, and so did appearances in Tommy Tune's staging of Grease!, the national tour of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and a starring role in Cy Coleman's The Life, on Broadway.
