Goodman will play Arthur Winslow, a father who fights to clear his son's name when he is expelled from Naval College.
According to press materials, the play "portrays the battle between personal principles and conscience and an impenetrable establishment under the media."
Goodman was last seen on the British stage in the title role of The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui at Chichester's Minerva Theatre. Recent West End credits include Yes, Prime Minister (transferred from Chichester), Duet for One (transferred from the Almeida) and Fiddler on the Roof (transferred from Sheffield's Crucible). He has appeared extensively at the National, Royal Shakespeare Company and Royal Court. On Broadway, he has been seen in Art, The Producers and Tartuffe.
