For HSM star Ashley Tisdale, life doesn’t end when the caps and gowns come off. Instead, Tisdale will reprise her role as drama queen Sharpay Evans in her very own "High School Musical" spin-off, The Disney Channel announced recently.
“Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure” follows East High School’s favorite diva as she moves to New York with her dog Boi after being discovered by a talent scout. Without her HSM co-stars, Sharpay must make new friends (like a sweet student filmmaker) and new enemies (like her rival for stardom, the new winner of "So You Think You're America's Most Talented Performing Idol"). To keep the drama coming, it turns out the Broadway role the scout has in mind is for Boi. Twist!
The made-for-television movie is scheduled to begin production this summer and air on the Disney Channel in 2011. Tisdale is also on board as an executive producer of the project.
