Classic Arts News Hilary Hahn Signs CDs in New York Violinist Hilary Hahn will appear at a CD signing and discussion in New York today.
Hahn will sign copies of her second Deutsche Grammophon CD, featuring the Elgar Violin Concerto and Ralph Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending, at Tower Records at 66th Street and Broadway, adjacent to Lincoln Center.

WQXR radio's Jeff Spurgeon hosts the event, which starts at 6 p.m.

A onetime child prodigy, Hahn made her debut with the Baltimore Symphony at age 11. After graduating from the Curtis Institute at 16, she signed an exclusive contract with Sony Classical and made five award-winning recordings for the label. In 2002, she left Sony, reportedly because of its focus on crossover music, and signed with Deutsche Grammophon.

Hahn performs the Elgar concerto with the New York Philharmonic on December 9 and 11.
