The Hoboken-based Waterfront Ensemble begins its 1999 Spring Series of Long and Short Plays on April 8 at the Flatiron Playhouse with Whatever Happened to You and Me? by Carl Gonzalez. Whatever is the story of an untimely love, directed by Tim Craig, and ends April 25.

The second play is a comedy by Terri Campion, Phoebe Makes the News, and runs April 14-May 2. Directed by Lynne M. Boone, it is the story of a cartoonist who comes to the big city to find love and fulfillment.

The third production is a series of five one-act plays called Spring Shorts '99, written by Pete Ernst, Suzanne Marshall, Carl Gonzalez, Jason Grote and Luigi Jannuzzi. These shows are directed by Joseph Giardina, Bob Reed, Wendy Overly, and Brad Rohrer, and runs April 22 through May 2.
