News   Holum and Lyford to Appear in Organ's Off-Center Comedy Phoenix at Humana Fest
Drama Desk Award winner Suli Holum (Lebensraum) and Trey Lyford (machines machines machines…) will star in Phoenix, a relationship comedy by Scott Organ, March 5-27 at Actors Theatre of Louisville.

The world-premiere production will be part of the 34th Annual Humana Festival of New American Plays.

Phoenix will be directed by Aaron Posner, and the creative team will include scenic designer Michael B. Raiford, costume designer Lorraine Venburg, lighting designer Jeff Nellis, sound designer Benjamin Marcum, properties designer Mark Walston and hair and make-up designer Heather Fleming.

The play takes a look at the long-term effects of an unexpected one-night stand and concerns what happens over "7 weeks, 4,000 miles and 6 cups of coffee as two strangers question the calculated lives they lead and contemplate the uncertain world that might be," according to press notes. The play is billed as "a sly comedy about how getting off course can put you on the right track."

Organ is making his Actors Theatre debut with Phoenix. Full-length plays include The Faithful, Fixed and The Remainder. Short plays include China, The Mulligan and and everybody else.

Actors Theatre of Louisville is located at 316 W. Main Street in Louisville. For tickets call (502) 584-1265 or visit actorstheatre.org. *
