Antigone will rise once again, as Honest-to-God Productions Off-Off-Broadway presentation of A.R. Gurney's Another Antigone opens April 28.

Last seen Off-Broadway in 1988, the Playwrights Horizons' production featured Tony Award nominee George Grizzard (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, A Delicate Balance).

Another Antigone is the story of a young woman's Antigone-like struggle against a dominant male professor. Gurney draws many character inferences from academia and themes from classic mythology.

Gurney gained recognition in the 80s with his shows Love Letters and The Golden Age, both which had good runs on and off-Broadway. The Thornton Wilder-influenced work Love Letters was last seen on Broadway at the Golden Theatre and starred Alec Baldwin and Kim Zimmer (from "The Guiding Light").

The Honest-To-God production of Another Antigone stars Roy Bacon, C.C. Banks, Nate Mooney and Shira Zeltzer and is directed by Alan Wynroth. Opening April 28 and running through May 9, Antigone tickets are $12 and can be purchased from the John Houseman Theatre Too box office at (212) 946-5117.
