Tony Danza

Tony Danza, the TV star who played a charming gangster in the Broadway musical Honeymoon in Vegas, is bringing his singing and dancing talents to the NYCB Theatre in Westbury, Long Island, New York, on December 21. It's the final stop on Danza’s fall 2017 concert tour.

Titled Tony Danza: Standards and Stories, the concert combines singing, storytelling, a dash of soft shoe, and ukulele playing. Backed by a four-piece band, Danza performs standards from the Great American Songbook, plus selections from Jason Robert Brown’s score for Honeymoon in Vegas. During previous stops on the tour he has sung “It Was a Very Good Year,” “The Second Time Around,” “Guess I’ll Hang My Tears Out to Dry,” “How About You?,” and “I Don't Remember Ever Growing Up.”

Danza premiered the cabaret show in New York City in 2016. Known for his starring roles on TV’s Taxi and Who’s the Boss, in recent years Danza has cultivated a stage career, appearing on Broadway in A View From the Bridge, The Producers (as a replacement Max Bialystock), and in a production of Eugene O’Neill’s The Iceman Cometh.

Tickets cost $27–$162 and can be ordered here. The NYCB Theatre is located at 960 Brush Hollow Road in Westbury.
