News "Idol" Contestant Eliminated; Top Six Will Perform Carole King Tunes "American Idol" finalist Stefano Langone was eliminated from the nation's biggest singing contest April 21 after he received the fewest of America’s votes.

On the April 20 broadcast the Top 7 performed songs from the 21st century, and Langone, 21, from Kent, WA, sang "Closer."

On April 27 at 8 PM ET, the Top 6 finalists – Casey Abrams, Lauren Alaina, James Durbin, Jacob Lusk, Scotty McCreery and Haley Reinhart – will perform the songs of legendary singer/songwriter Carole King.

On the April 28 results show, which also begins at 8 PM, TV watchers can expect performances by Season Nine "Idol" finalist Crystal Bowersox and Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter/producer Bruno Mars.

Among the many "American Idol" finalists and/or winners who have appeared on Broadway are Fantasia, Justin Guarini, Jordin Sparks, Diana DeGarmo, Ace Young, Tamyra Gray, Constantine Maroulis, Frenchie Davis, Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks.
