Off-Broadway News Immersive KPOP Extends Two Weeks Off-Broadway The previously sold-out production is also offering $25 rush tickets for theatregoers under the age of 30 during its extension period.

KPOP, the new immersive musical from Ars Nova, Ma-Yi Theater, and the Woodshed Collective, will now play an additional two weeks, through October 21. The high-energy production, which takes theatregoers on a backstage tour of a K-pop music factory, is staged over several floors of the newly built A.R.T/New York Theatres.

In addition to the extension, producers have announced that a limited number of $25 rush tickets will be available during the October 9–21 extension period to audiences under 30 years of age (valid ID required). Rush tickets will be available at the box office 30 minutes prior to curtain for each performance; no advance sales.

Full-priced tickets for the October 9–21 extension period are now on sale.

KPOP officially opened September 22 at which point the show had already sold out its limited Off-Broadway engagement. The production began performances September 6 and was originally scheduled to run through October 7.

The cast of 18 will remain the same for the extension period: Ashley Park, Jason Tam, Katie Lee Hill, James Seol, Ebony Williams, Amanda Morton, Julia Abueva, Vanessa Kai, Cathy Ang, Joomin Hwang, Jinwoo Jung, Jiho Kang, Deborah Kim, Susannah Kim, Sun Hye Park, James Saito, David Shih, and John Yi .

KPOP is conceived by Woodshed Collective and Jason Kim (The Model American, HBO’s Girls) and features a book by Kim, music and lyrics by Helen Park and Max Vernon (The View UpStairs), an immersive design by Woodshed Collective, choreography by Jennifer Weber (The Hip Hop Nutcracker), and direction by Teddy Bergman (Empire Travel Agency).

The creative team also includes production designer Gabriel Hainer Evansohn, costume designer Tricia Barsamian, lighting designer Jeanette Oi-Suk Yew, sound designer Will Pickens, projection and video designer Phillip Gulley, and production stage manager Lizzy Lee.
