The orchestra also reported that it has boosted fundraising for its annual fund by 9 percent to a record $6.1 million. Donations from individuals, companies, and foundations all increased.
"The increases in both donations and ticket sales this past year is a wonderful tribute to the loyal support of the people of Indianapolis for the orchestra," said ISO president and CEO Simon Crookall. "It also testifies to the esteem in which the ISO is held as a vital part of the community."
The ISO has not yet released its fiscal results for 2004-05. The orchestra posted a small surplus in 2003-04 after two years of deficits.
