According to press notes, "The 'theatre-in-residence' title offers Titan Theatre Company, which was a recipient of a major grant from the Queens Council on the Arts in 2013, a permanent space within its home borough to showcase its critically celebrated work. Queens Theatre will also provide artistic and administrative support for the company, as well as a unique opportunity to strengthen Titan’s strong ties to the Queens community and its thriving cultural landscape."
Titan Theatre Company's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream will be remounted by popular demand and open their season starting Sept. 1. The production was lauded for its innovative staging and small cast – 9 actors portraying 16 roles – in its 2013 incarnation.
Following Midsummer, Titan's A Christmas Carol will play the Queens Theatre Dec. 12 - 21, and the season will end with an all female cast in Othello running Apr. 17-May 3, 2015.
Casts and creative teams for the season will be announced at a later date.
