News Inside Broadway Will Team With Broadway's Billy Elliot For "Creating the Magic" Free Workshop Inside Broadway, Broadway's not-for-profit educational organization, will kick off its 30th season by partnering with the Tony Award-winning production of Billy Elliot to offer an exclusive "Creating the Magic" workshop, which will be held Dec. 8 at 10 AM at the Imperial Theatre.

The interactive and free workshop will fill the Imperial with over 1,000 New York City public school students that participate in Inside Broadway's programs. A limited number of tickets will also be made available to the public on the day of the workshop on a first-come, first-served basis.

Attendees will get a special behind-the-scenes look at the world of Broadway with members of the Billy Elliot cast and crew (lighting, sound, stage management and orchestra). The event will feature set, lighting and sound demonstrations, as well as musical performances from the cast and a Q&A session.

Also, in celebration of Inside Broadway's 30th season, during the month of November, anyone who becomes a fan of Inside Broadway on Facebook and posts about his or her favorite Broadway show (past or present) will have the chance to win a pair of weeknight tickets to Chicago or The Phantom of the Opera. The two winners will be selected Dec. 1.

Inside Broadway reaches over 30,000 New York City students each year and develops and produces touring equity musical productions as well as a wide range of educational programs that allow participants to interact with professionals in the field and experience theatre hands-on in the classroom.

Programs of Inside Broadway are funded by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, New York City Council, New York City Department of Education, and New York City Department of Youth and Community Development, as well as numerous foundations and individuals.
