News Intimate Evita Rocks Brooklyn Starting Tonight The Gallery Players production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Tony-winning Evita plays the Brooklyn venue April 25-May 17.

Carman Napier (Next to Normal) stars in the title role with Dale Sampson as Che and Jonathan Mesisca as Juan Peron.

The company also includes Leanne Acero, Faye Bautista, Allegra Berglund, Angela Bermudez, Monica Bradley, Hubbard Farr, Glen Llanes, Abigail Grubb, Neal Hunter Hyde, Jason Hurtado, Lori Lusted, James McDermott, TJ Newton, Natalie Perry, Luis Ramos, Jackie Reynolds, Melissa Rose Hirsh, Stefanie Sable, Jennifer Teska and Jo Walker.

The creative team also includes producer Jacob Subotnick, associate producer Hilary Kolman, scenic designer Matt Iacozza, lighting designer Scott Cally, costume designer Joey Haws, properties designer Sara Slagle, wig designer Heather Carey, sound designer Jacob Subotnick, associate Senior designer Jerry Mittelhauser, production stage manager Laurel Detkin and assistant stage managers Cassidy Piraino and Maria Marrerro.

The musical, according to press notes, "tells the life story of Eva Duarte de Peron and her controversial rise from actress to spiritual leader of the nation" of Argentina. Elaine Paige created the role in London, winning an Olivier Award; Patti LuPone received the Tony for her work in the original Broadway staging.
