The fifth annual ceremony, beginning at 5 PM, recognizes the two for their work in the culturally rich and diverse Harlem community. Other honorees include Keith Sweat, Sarah Dash, Alyson Williams, Bobbi Humphrey, Roy Ayers and Delfonics member William Hart.

Sponsored by the NYC Housing Authority and the NYS GSA Department, the event is free and open to the public.

Jackson, best known for the hit songs "Rock Me Tonight," "For Old Time's Sake" and "You are My Lady," has been seen on Broadway in Freddie Jackson: Up Close & Personal. His debut album "Rock Me Tonight" spent six weeks at number one on the R&B charts in 1985. The singer is currently on the “Men of Soul Tour” and recently released his new CD, “For You,” on eOne Music.

Gandy, a member of the Association of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers on Broadway, has been a press agent for over 40 years. She has worked on over 100 Broadway shows and will be associate producer of the upcoming musical Porgy and Bess, starring Audra McDonald, Norm Lewis and David Alan Grier.
