News Irish Comedy Stones in His Pockets Gets St. Patrick's Run on Long Island Todd Lawson and Jim Wisniewski will populate an Irish community in a new production of Marie Jones' Tony-nominated and Olivier Award-winning Stones in His Pockets created for a three-performance run March 14-17 on Long Island.

Produced by Followspot Entertainment in association with the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University Arts Management Program, the Irish comedy is directed by Rich Cole.

Lawson (Broadway's Summer and Smoke, Off-Broadway's Only a Lad) and Wisniewski (Pioneer Theatre's The Foreigner and the regional premiere of Frost/Nixon in St. Louis and Rochester) perform 15 roles in the "tour-de-force comedy that chronicles a culture clash between Irish villagers and the Hollywood filmmakers who have turned a town into a film set and villagers into extras."

First produced in Belfast and later in London's West End and on Broadway, Stones in His Pockets won the Irish Times/ESB Irish Theatre Award for Best Production (1999) and the 2001 Olivier Award for Best Comedy, and was nominated for three Tony Awards.

The creative team for Stones in His Pockets includes Joseph M. Gourley (set designer), Adam Coffia (costume designer), Thomas Pascarella (lighting designer) and Robert Goida (sound designer). This Stones in His Pockets represents an unusual collaboration between theatrical professionals and arts management and theatre students at Long Island University. "This presentation is expected to be the first in a continuing series which will have seasoned professionals working with students to produce professional theatrical ventures," according to production notes.

Performances will play March 14 at 8 PM, March 15 at 7 PM and March 17 at 8 PM.
