News Isabel Keating and Michael Rupert to Be Part of Paper Mill's Diary of Anne Frank Complete casting has been announced for the Paper Mill Playhouse's upcoming production of The Diary of Anne Frank.

Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett's drama — adapted by Wendy Kesselman — will play the New Jersey theatre Jan. 18-Feb. 26, 2006, with an official opening set for Jan. 22. Directed by Carolyn Cantor, the cast will feature Shana Dowdeswell in the title role with Dana Powers Acheson as Margot Frank, Isabel Keating as Edith Frank, Peter Kybart as Otto Frank, Nancy Robinette as Mrs. Van Daan, Michael Rupert as Mr. Dussel, Christa Scott-Reed as Miep Gies, Michael Stahl-David as Peter Van Daan, Jeff Talbott as Mr. Kraler and David Wohl as Mr. Van Daan with Steve Brady, Peter Bretz, Donna Davis and Seamus Mulcahy. The creative team for the production comprises David Korins (set design), Ilona Somogyi (costume design), Kevin Adams (lighting design), Randy Hansen (sound design) and Charles LaPointe (hair and wig design).

The Diary of Anne Frank, according to press notes, "follows two years of Anne Frank's life from 1942 to 1944, when she and her family were forced into hiding during the Nazi occupation of Amsterdam. In her diary, thirteen-year-old Anne recorded mostly her hopes, frustrations, clashes with her parents, and observations of her companions. The final entry in her diary coincides with the capture of the family, which led to her untimely death."
