A French farce with a provocative, politically-charged plot. That's how North Carolina's Temple Theatre Company describes its current offering, Bricaire and Lasaygues' Deja Vu, which runs Feb. 26-March 14.
A maid is having affairs with her politician employer and his son, both of whom are engaged to be married to other women. Then a surprise guest arrives -- stunning everyone when the identity is revealed.
Translated by John MacNicholas, who authored last season's The Moving of Lilla Barton, Deja Vu is directed by Martin Thompson. The cast includes Jay Doolittle, Jim Fleming, Georgia Rogers, Donna Shannon, and Stephen Wilson. Designers are Ernest Badgett (set), Mary McKeithen (costume), and Todd Wren (lighting).
Performances are at 120 Carthage St., Sanford, N.C. Tickets are $6 to $20. For information and reservations, call (919) 774-4155.
