News Izzard Lends Voice to Animated Feature "Igor" According to the "Hollywood Reporter," Eddie Izzard (A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, television's "The Riches") will assume the role of Schadenfreude in the upcoming animated feature "Igor."

Izzard replaces the previously cast Jeremy Piven for the Weinstein Co. production. No word has been given for Piven's departure from the project. Izzard's character, Schadenfreude, is the nemesis to the hunchback Igor, who is plotting to win the Evil Science Fair. Additional talents lending their voices include John Cusack, Steve Buscemi, John Cleese, Jennifer Coolidge, Arsenio Hall, Jay Leno, Molly Shannon and Sean Hayes.

In addition, IDW Publishing will create a comic book series based on the film, which is scheduled for an October 2008 release.
