Jack Gwillim, the British stage actor who was Col. Pickering in the 1981 Rex Harrison revival of My Fair Lady, died July 2 at the age of 91, in Los Angeles. Mr. Gwillim moved to the U.S. in 1969 after performing with the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, at London's Old Vic and in the West End.
He also appeared in the 1973 production of The Iceman Cometh, which starred James Earl Jones, at Circle in the Square; and a Broadway revival of The Constant Wife starring Ingrid Bergman.
He was seen in films such as "Lawrence of Arabia," and also in Broadway and Los Angeles productions. Among his credits are A Man for All Seasons with Charlton Heston and The Fair Penitent for Los Angeles Theater Center.
