In The Value of Names, a once-blacklisted comic finds his actress daughter — played by Sarah Yorra — is being cast by the very man who testified against him before the House Committee on UnAmerican Activities. When the daughter ponders leaving the production, the director makes an uninvited visit to the father to make peace.
The play was the winner of the Heideman and Society of Midland Authors Awards and played at the Actors Theatre of Louisville.
Klugman, known best for his role of Oscar Madison in the television series "The Odd Couple," has appeared on Broadway in The Sunshine Boys, Three Men on a Horse, I'm Not Rappaport, The Sudden & Accidental Re-Education of Horse Johnson and in the original stage production of The Odd Couple as a replacement player.
Zorich, best known for his role as father Burt Buchman in the television comedy "Mad About You," was a standby in the original production of The Odd Couple. More recent stage credits include 45 Seconds From Broadway, Follies, She Loves Me, The Marriage of Figaro, Arms and the Man and as Uncle Ben to Dustin Hoffman's Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman.
